Mexican Modernism

Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection explores the Mexican modernism movement through more than 150 artworks. Featuring paintings and photographs by internationally celebrated artists Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Lola Álvarez Bravo, Gunther Gerzso, María Izquierdo, Carlos Mérida, and others, the exhibition takes a closer look at the role that art, artists, and their supporters played in the emergence of national identity and creative spirit after the Mexican Revolution ended in 1920.

Senga Nengudi Exhibition

Senga Nengudi: Topologies is composed of more than 70 abstract and conceptual artworks by the internationally recognized artist, a prominent figure of the 1970s Black American avant-garde and Black Arts Movement. You can expect to see a 40-year span of Nengudi’s work that she produced on both U.S. coasts, in Colorado, and abroad.
Visionary Art Collective: Call for Art

Trey Egan: Immersion

Apron Chronicles

Launched in 2005, this exhibition focuses on the connectivity of people. “Apron Chronicles features photography, personal narratives, and one-of-a-kind aprons”. A highlight to the exhibit is the fact that you have the ability to add your own stories to the experience. History Colorado is the final stop in this 16-year long showcase, which means this is the last opportunity to view this truly intimate exhibit before it is gone for good.
